CAMPAIGN DESIGN

The Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services’ mission is to be the leader in promoting, protecting and partnering for health with a vision of healthy Missourians for life. By gathering information on the views and perceptions about the influenza virus, we identified ways to distribute a creative campaign with targeted messaging that would resonate with Missouri citizens.

The talented team working on this campaign helped with concepts and copy while I helped execute the designs.

OBJECTIVE

Develop creative campaign concepts that raise awareness among Missouri residents of the benefits of receiving an annual flu shot for not only themselves but their family and community. The ultimate goal is to increase the number of Missouri residents receiving flu shots.

APPROACH

Pique attention and interest with bold imagery and ideas that creatively illustrate the benefits of receiving a flu shot. Once we have their attention, we can provide them with actionable insights to positively influence their decision to get the vaccine.

THEME

No one likes getting the flu. As a matter of fact, if given the option, most people would tell the flu to get lost, shove off, or just get out. How can you show the flu who’s boss and really stick it to ‘em? Get a flu shot. With just a little stick from your doctor (and taking the other every day healthy steps to avoid exposure), you can really STICK IT TO THE FLU. Show the flu who’s really in charge by getting your flu shot today.
